Michael Carrick has been included on the shortlist for the prestigious Professional Footballers' Association Player of the Year award. The Manchester United midfielder has been included along with team-mate Robin van Persie, Liverpool's Luis Suarez, Spurs forward Gareth Bale and Chelsea duo Eden Hazard and Juan Mata.
